Dealing with anger and conflict  
in group therapy  

My therapy groups are oriented toward personal growth, development of self-esteem and empowerment. I believe that groups provide a unique opportunity to give and receive feedback, overcome negative patterns and improve interpersonal effectiveness. Groups provide a safe, supportive environment in which to try out new ways of relating and build confidence.

I received my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Boston University in 1980. I have 25 years experience in leading groups and am a Certified Group Psychotherapist. I have worked as the Director of Group Psychotherapy at Westwood Lodge Hospital and worked for 10 years as a supervisor in the group program at Harvard Medical School.  I am a member of the Northeastern Society of Group Psychotherapy and have served on the Board of Directors and the Training Program of that organization.  I am also a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association.

In addition to group therapy, I have an individual clinical and coaching practice. One of my specialties is a technique called EMDR, which targets negative self-beliefs and emotions that are holding people back, due to trauma, anxiety or depression. I also use EMDR as a tool for helping people attain greater success in their careers.  More about EMDR may be found at EMDRIA.org.  

Parking: Parking is available in the office building’s parking lot.

Location: 892 Worcester Street(Rte. 9), Suite 230, Wellesley,
MA 02482. This is on the eastbound side of Rte. 9 just after St.
James the Great Church. If you are coming on the westbound westbound,
get into the left lane after you pass Weston Road and make a u-turn in
front of the church. Immediately get into the right lane and enter the
driveway for 888 and 892 Worcester Street. Number 892 is the smaller
building on the right. There is a large parking lot behind the
building and Number 892 may be accessed through the back door. Suite
230 is on the second floor.
