Ms. Starr is a Certified Group Psychotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience leading groups.Ms. Starr received her degree from Smith College School of Social Work where she had been guest lecturer for ten years. She has also been a trainer for the Department of Social Services and currently supervises clinicians on group therapy. She is a member of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy and the National Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists. She has also served on the Executive Board of Directors for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. Ms. Starr is currently the Co-President and Treasurer of Group Solutions Network, Inc.

Ms. Starr’s approach to group therapy centers on creating a safe and comfortable space where people can come together and talk in meaningful ways with one another about those struggles which interfere with their feeling content within themselves and in their relationships. Her groups address issues such as struggles with self-esteem, conflict avoidance, finding a voice in relationships, intimacy in relationships and feelings of anxiety and shame about relating authentically and openly to others.
